Hello! I am Malinda Kimbrough, the Founder and CEO of Alice & Company Beauty Lounge. I entered into the beauty industry while in search of a career change due to teacher burnout. Coworkers, family, friends and social media followers were in shock of my decision to leave a career that I absolutely loved. If I do say so myself, I was a pretty good teacher. However, once I got a taste of the beauty industry, I instantly fell in love. It was mind blowing how I was able to create a calming, therapeutic and peaceful environment, not only for my clients but for myself as well.

Since transitioning from a three year career as a Montessori teacher's aid (with a few trips to Europe while supporting my now amazing husband in his professional basketball career) to a kindergarten teacher of seven years at a title 1 school in McKinney ISD, I've been able to help thousands of women enhance their natural beauty.  As well as having the opportunity to work at The Lash Lounge and be promoted to Senior Stylist during my time there. All while still being able to have enough time and energy to enjoy this precious thing we call LIFE.

On February 6, 2020, I decided that I would step out on faith to pursue the beauty industry independently (not knowing that we would all be on lockdown shortly after). Due to the lockdown and the start of my new journey being postponed, I started to brainstorm ways that would give me the opportunity to continue to help others enhance their natural beauty from the comfort of my home. One day, an idea clicked! I immediately began to research vendors and started the process for creating a cosmetic line. The process has been far from easy but it was so worth it!  

Huge thanks to my support system! From my family, to my friends, “The Friend Wall”, to social media followers  that are continuously rooting for me. I truly appreciate all of the support, it does not go unnoticed. Last but not least, thanks to my wonderful husband that has made a major impact on my journey with his continued support, guidance and leading by example with starting his own trucking company back in 2015 as an independent contractor that he has grown tremendously each year with lots of hard work and determination to now managing a fleet of trucks. I love you and I’m so excited to see what God has in store for the both of us.
